Opportunity: Become a regional certified installer through ROGEAP ASPIRE

The ROGEAP is financed by the World Bank, the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) and the Directorate General for International Cooperation (DGIS) of the Government of the Netherlands. It aims to increase access to sustainable electricity services in the fifteen ECOWAS member countries and Cameroon, Chad and Mauritania by building a regional market for off-grid solar (OGS) products and supporting value chain stakeholders.

Are you a woman or youth between 18 and 35 who aspires to work in the solar PV business or installation? Then the ROGEAP ASPIRE is for you. You can become a regional certified installer through ROGEAP ASPIRE.

BENEFITS OF BEING A REGIONAL CERTIFIED SOLAR INSTALLERS

  • As a certified regional installer you have access to off grid solar market across the ECOWAS region
  • Access to practice as a certified installer within ECOWAS
  • High-quality and reliable solar installations within the ECOWAS states members.
  • Strengthen consumer confidence in regional solar installations.
  • Established Professional route for solar installers.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Electricians or persons in the solar PV value chain currently, Students, Entrepreneurs in the start-up or in the stage 1 SME category
(have sold less than 300 SHS/solar lanterns and having less than 3 FTE)? The PFM encourages women’s participation by flexibly scheduling training times.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Required age: between 18-35 for males and 18-45 for women
  • Identification: Copy of a government-issued ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.).
  • Origin country: ROGEAP eligible countries
  • Diploma or degree: Professional certificate in renewable energy, electrical or any relevant technical diploma (currently a student or hold National Diploma / International Diploma / BSc / MSc / PhD)

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES:

Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali and Sierra Leone
